MEA has emerged as strong humanitarian force for Indians globally: PM Modi

Virginia (USA), June 26 (ANI): Stressing the importance of social media in today's time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Ministry of External Affairs in India is the perfect example of how social media has empowered a ministry and has touched new heights from the point of humanity. While praising the efforts of Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, PM Modi said that it is because of her that MEA has now emerged as a strong humanitarian force for Indians globally, adding that 80,000 Indians in distress were rescued from different parts of the world in last three years. The prime minister further said that anyone in trouble tweets to Sushma Swaraj and she promptly replies and the Government of India takes prompt action to save the life.
