Nepal celebrates International Yoga Day

Kathmandu (Nepal), June 21(ANI): The people of Nepal's capital city Kathmandu gathered together at the Pradashani Marg of the city to take part in the Third International Yoga Day. The event was organized by the Government of Nepal in co-ordination with the Patanjali Yogpeeth and Indian Mission to Nepal. Ignoring the nonstop rain, the people performed yoga by wearing raincoats or holding an umbrella with much excitement. Hundreds of people attended the event which also had the recorded address of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The attendants of the event claimed that the Yoga has played a pivotal role in improving their lifestyle. This year's International Yoga Day is celebrated around the world with slogan "Let's Practice Yoga and remain Healthy". The proposal of celebrating International Day of Yoga was proposed by PM Modi in the UNGA in 2014.
