President Mukherjee thanks Jordan for assistance during Gulf crisis

Amman, Oct 11 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee thanked Jordan for evacuating Indians from conflict-hit areas during the Gulf crisis. Addressing a gathering of Indian community comprising businessmen and academicians in capital city of Amman, Mukherjee hailed King Abdullah II for his humanitarian services. He also lauded Jordan for providing relief and shelter to refugees from neighbouring Syria. The two leaders had held bilateral talks earlier in the day. After his Jordan tour, Mukherjee will visit Palestine and Israel, where he is slated to address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.
