Taliban launches yet another assault on Kunduz

Kunduz, Afghanistan, Oct 03 (ANI): A year after briefly taking over the city, the Taliban have again launched an assault on Afghanistan's Kunduz on Monday. The assault began in the wee hours at the southern and eastern parts of the city where the Islamist militants were engaged in battles with government forces. Kunduz is one of the most unstable provinces in the country's north. The capital of the province fell to the Taliban briefly last year, before being recaptured by government forces, and most districts have a heavy Taliban presence.
