The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 continued with its Day 13 action today at Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag with two important matches on the card. In the first match of the night, Telugu Titans thrashed U Mumba by 8 points to secure their third straight win in the season, while in the second match Puneri Paltan finally got back to the winning ways after beating UP Yoddhas 43-32.
Match 1: U Mumba vs Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans gave their home fans plenty to cheer in Vizag, finishing their leg on a high with a 45-37 win over U Mumba at the Vishwanadh Sports Club on Wednesday night. It was their third victory in a row, powered by Bharat Hooda’s 13-point show, ably supported by Chetan Sahu (6 points) and skipper Vijay Malik (5 points).
The Titans wasted no time in taking control. Bharat began with a multi-point raid, and Chetan followed with a tackle on Anil during a do-or-die raid. Another multi-point raid from Bharat in the sixth minute inflicted the first all out, giving the home side a commanding lead. Vijay Malik then chipped in with a raid point on Rinku as U Mumba faltered to stay in the contest.
By the 14th minute, U Mumba had suffered a second all out, with only Satish Kannan offering some resistance in the absence of star raider Ajit Chouhan. Bharat’s brilliance continued as he completed his Super 10 with a Super Raid, driving the Titans to a massive 27-11 halftime advantage.
The second half began with a Super Tackle on Bharat by Sunil Kumar, but U Mumba could not maintain the momentum. Another all out pushed them further behind, and even the introduction of Amirmohammad Zafardanesh couldn’t reverse their fortunes. Despite his late raid points and Sandeep’s six-point burst, the deficit remained steep.
The Titans’ defense also shone, with Shankar Gadai and Ajit Pawar combining for a Super Tackle on Sandeep, ensuring the hosts stayed well ahead. Although U Mumba managed to force an all out near the end through Zafardanesh, the Telugu Titans held their nerve to close out a well-deserved 45-37 win, ending their Vizag leg in style.
Match 2: UP Yoddhas vs Puneri Paltan
Match 26 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 sets up an exciting clash between UP Yoddhas and Puneri Paltan. Puneri head into the contest after a disappointing loss to Patna Pirates, where frequent player rotations disrupted their rhythm and left them vulnerable to a dominant performance from Ayan Lohchab.
Eager to bounce back, the former champions will look to rediscover their winning touch and avoid slipping further in the standings. On the other hand, UP Yoddhas, who showed grit but narrowly lost to Haryana Steelers in their previous game, will be determined to convert effort into results.
With both teams eyeing redemption, Wednesday’s encounter promises to deliver a gripping battle.
