Scindia says telecom cybersecurity concerns resolved after industry meet

Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday chaired a meeting with leading telecom service providers and OEMs, noting that concerns related to cybersecurity, spam control, standards, and technology interoperability have been resolved. The meeting, held ahead of the India Mobile Congress -- the sector's annual grand showcase -- was attended by senior representatives of major telecom companies, including Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani. No adverse impact on Indian airports amid Europe cyberattack: Report

Indian airports have not faced any adverse impact so far in relation to the cyber attack on systems used at various European airports, a senior government official said on Saturday. London Heathrow, Berlin and some other airports in Europe are grappling with operational disruptions due to the cyber attack incident at systems of Collins Aerospace that are used at the airports. Following the cyber attack issue at various European airports, authorities took an update about the operations at Indian airports, the government official said. Vaishnaw meets gaming firms to discuss user money protection, esports

Union IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has held a meeting with online gaming companies to discuss the protection of users' money and promotion of eSports and social games, an official source said on Monday. The meeting comes within a fortnight of Parliament passing The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, that bars all forms of online money games while promoting e-sports and other online games. Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor M Rajeshwar Rao on Sunday emphasized that banking services, including digital platforms, are designed for public convenience and must be used responsibly. The Bankers' Club, Chandigarh, organized a walkathon on Cyber Security Awareness at Sukhna Lake here on Sunday which was flagged off by Rao.
