IRE vs IND: First two T20Is is complete sell-out, informs Cricket Ireland

The Indian team's global popularity does add financial muscle to emerging cricket boards as Cricket Ireland realised after all tickets for the first T20 Internationals were sold out. "The first and second Men's T20 Internationals between Ireland and India are now sold out, with the third match selling quickly," Cricket Ireland posted in its website. All the matches will be held at 'The Village' Malahide Cricket Club Ground which has an official capacity of 11,500. India have won all their five previous T20Is against Ireland since the MS Dhoni-led side defeated them by eight wickets in a World Twenty20 group fixture in England in 2009. IND vs IRE: Prasidh Krishna warms-up for Ireland tour with an intense spell

Ahead of travelling to Ireland, pacer Prasidh Krishna bowled at full tilt for Mysuru Warriors against Hubli Tigers in the KSCA Maharaja Trophy T20 tournament here on Sunday. Prasidh is scheduled to leave for Ireland on August 15 from Mumbai along with other Indian players including captain Jasprit Bumrah. India will play three T20Is against Ireland on August 18, 20 and 23 at Malahide, Dublin. However, Prasidh utilised the KSCA T20 tournament to hone his skills and further tune his body to the demands of the game before his departure. The right-arm pacer delivered two overs of full intensity and pace, and grabbed a wicket while conceding 13 runs. Prasidh clean bowled his Karnataka teammate Luvnith Sisodia for a three-ball duck to underline his readiness to tackle bigger responsibilities. Ireland on Friday picked all-rounder Fionn Hand and Gareth Delany in their 15-member squad to face No 1 T20I team India in a three-match series to be played later this month. After the conclusion of their West Indies tour, India will travel to Ireland for the short series. They are currently playing against Windies in a five-match T20I series. The three T20Is between India and Ireland will be played on August 18, 20 and 23 at Malahide. Paul Stirling will be the captain of Ireland. While the majority of the squad reflects the playing group that successfully qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup last week, the selectors have recalled Leinster Lightning all-rounder Fionn Hand and have included Gareth Delany who is returning from injury after breaking his wrist in Zimbabwe in June, Cricket Ireland said in a statement on its website.
