New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Names of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu have been recommended for the prestigious Khel Ratna award, sources in the Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award committee have confirmed. If Kohli bags the honour, he will become the third cricketer to do so after Sachin Tendulkar (1997) and former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (2007). He scored a total of 593 runs in the series with an impressive average of 118.6. Chanu, on the other hand, would join the likes of Karnam Malleswari and Nameirakpam Kunjarani who had received the award in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Mirabai Chanu's coach Vijay Sharma and veteran cricket coach Tarak Sinha are among seven recommended by the selection committee for the Dronacharya Award. The weightlifter had clinched a gold medal in 48 kg category at the 21st Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia.

Sara's parents Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar also attended the ceremony and posed with her. Both her parents were seen proud and beaming with joy. Sara captioned the pictures as 'I did What?' She also posted a video on the social media wherein she is seen happily throwing her graduation cap with delight. The ceremony took place at a London college. New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Former Indian fast bowler Rudra Pratap Singh has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Announcing the same on his official Twitter handle, the 32-year-old said that there is no easy way to say goodbye, but added that it is the right time to call it quits. "Today as I hang [up] my boots and call it a day I wish to remember and give thanks to each and everyone who made this journey possible," RP Singh wrote. "Even as I write this, there are conflicting emotions inside me. No matter how much one prepares for this day, there is no easy way to bid goodbye.
