Car-maker Ford India today posted a 22.18% decline in total sales at 8,323 units in July.
The company had sold 10,696 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement.
Ford's domestic sales declined by 16.89% to 6,236 units in the month from 7,504 units in July 2011, it added.
Its overseas shipments fell by 34.61% to 2,087 units from 3,192 units in the same month last year.
"With consumer confidence yet to recover from the effects of a recent hike in petrol prices, ongoing high interest rates and high inflation, the challenging market conditions continue unabated in India's auto market," the company said.
