Swc, New India Breweries In Jammu Joint Venture
The Manu Chhabria-controlled Shaw Wallace & Co Ltd (SWC) today announced a 51:49 joint venture with New India Breweries for setting up a brewery near Jammu. The company is also taking on lease the assets of Winsome Breweries based at Behror in Rajasthan.
The project cost of the 1.2 million cases per annum brewery is estimated at Rs 20 crore. The New India Group, headed by Sneh Gupta, had a long association with SWC in bottling and distributing its alcoholic beverages in the region. The Jammu facility will be SWC
