TVS registers 13% growth in sales
Country's third biggest two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Co Ltd has reported growth of 13 per cent in July this compared to same period last year.
In a press release issued by the company it said, the total sales stood at 118,545 units versus 105,366 units in the same period last year.
The company's motorcycle sales increased by 21.7 percent to reach the figure of 54,042 units. This growth was driven by strong demand for its Apache RTR and StaR models.
The scooter segment also shown marginal increased the sales in this segment increased from 23, 841 units to 24,156 units.
TVS Motor's exports in July grew nearly 41 percent to 16,015 units of two-wheelers as against 11,395 units in July 2007.
