Usha Brita, the 50:50 joint venture between Usha Shriram (of Shriram group) and Brita GmbH of Germany, aims at 25 percent growth in sales during the current fiscal.

The company’s sales turnover was Rs 75 crore last fiscal and the target is to increase it to Rs 95 crore by the end of the current fiscal, said Premil Kumar Saha, senior regional sales manager, Usha Shriram Enterprises.

Saha, who was here to launch a range of water purifiers, said, the company will make economical models of water purifiers basing on the customers’ requirement. While the company has two RO models, one more model is planned in this range.

The entire range of water purification systems launched in Orissa today include those working on UV and reverse osmosis technologies apart from storage type water purifiers branded as ‘waterguards’. It is betting big on Orissa market to increase its overall market share in the country.

Stating that the company has introduced 3G boiling technology, he said,it will be available with the Waterguard Storage Water Purifiers. It ensures every drop to be pure and free from all harmful disease causing bacteria and viruses.

The price of table top waterguard max is Rs 3499 and the price of water jugs is Rs 1199 and Rs 1299. Besides, the online system with power saver is priced at Rs 9299. Regarding the marketing of the products, Shah said, the company sells its products through direct selling agents and distribution channels. The direct selling agents are located in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrakh, Balasore, Cuttack and Berhampur.
