Maharashtra's Principal Accountant General Mala Sinha today assured full cooperation to the Mumbai Crime Branch's probe into the alleged leakage of the CAG report for 2010-11. At a press conference, she also clarified that the report had not been leaked from the office of the CAG or from her office in Mumbai.
"I look forward for the inquiry report. This is a new experience. We will extend fullest cooperation to the government during the inquiry," Sinha said. She also clarified that CAG has not questioned the police decisions of the government, but has made its audit observations on land allotments to various institutions and the irregularities involved in it.
Sinha made it clear that the report was confidential and the level of confidence in the CAG office was high. There was no question of leakage from her office, she added.
