Not many Indian politicians write their memoirs, and very few try to pen the history of their party.

But former Lok Sabha Speaker and Maharashtra chief minister Manohar Joshi has chronicled the history of the Shiv Sena since its inception.

The book 'Shiv Sena Kal, Aaj ani Udya' (Shiv Sena yesterday, today and tomorrow) written by Joshi will be released by Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on January 23, which is also Thackeray's 81st birthday. The thousand-page book is in Marathi.
