The Beedi Workers' Welfare Association has alleged that beedi owners have not fully paid the Rs 4,500 dearness allowance despite the joint labour commissioner's June 30 deadline.
 
The workers will stage a protest in front of the assistant labour commission office at Bendoor on July 27.
 
Karavali Mahila Jagruthi Vedike chief convener and Hitharakshana Vedike convener P Hemavathi alleged that the companies had only paid Rs 1,000 and were taking signature of workers on blank receipts.
