Re-poll at two booths in North Bengal peaceful

Repolling in two booths in Karandighi Assembly constituency in North Dinajpur district and Natabari constituency in Coochbehar district of West Bengal passed off peacefully today.

Natabari recorded 85 per cent polling and the turnout in Karandighi was 76 per cent, Additional Chief Electoral officer N K Sahana said.

A repoll was recommended by EC observers in view of malfunctioning of EVMs in the two booths during the first phase polling on April 18, official sources said here.
