Travel industry plans stir

Travel agents and tour operators plan to agitate against the imposition of the service tax. They will soon decide on the mode of agitation.

"If the finance minister does not withdraw the service tax on foreign exchange earnings, travel agents and tour operators will resort to agitation," said Subhash Goyal, president, Indian Association of Travel Agents (IATO).
