Says BJP can go to any extent to form the next government
BS Reporter Raipur Congress President Sonia Gandhi had feared BJP going to "any extent" to come to power and form the next government at the Centre.
Addressing an election meeting in Bhatgaon under Sarguja Lok Sabha constituency Friday, Sonia Gandhi lashed out at the campaign trail of the BJP. She alleged that the BJP leaders had crossed all the decorum during the on-going election campaign.
"For the Prime Minister's chair, the BJP leaders could go to any extent," the Congress President said.
They had not left any stone un-turn to cross the decency and decorum during the election campaign, she added.The BJP leaders do not have any concern for the development and welfare of the people, Sonia Gandhi said, adding that their only aim was to come to power and get the coveted seat of the Prime Minister.
"Seeing the BJP campaign, there is a fear that their leaders can play foul to anyhow come to the power at the Centre," Sonia Gandhi said, adding that the BJP leaders were trying to prove wrong what had been right.
The Congress President cautioned people to elect Modi and without naming asserted that democracy could not be safe under a single man.
