Sentiment: Bullish Expectations of easing liquidity led to buying demand from the public sector banks.
The prices of government securities, mainly in the benchmark segment, moved up in the range of 10-20 paise . The call rates came down from highs of 8.25 per cent on Monday to hover around 8.10 per cent.
The RBI infused liquidity to the tune of RS 8400 crore into the market.
The yield on the 10-year benchmark paper came down to 7.59 per cent against 7.61 per cent on Monday. |
