The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has shorlisted 882 candidates for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) for admission to its 256 courses. | |
| The students have been selected following the Common Admission Test (CAT) results announced on Monday. |

| The GD and PI, to be conducted by a committee comprising faculty of the institute, will be held in four cities - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata "" from February 18 to March 25. |

| The final results will be declared by end of April, IIM-A director, Bakul Dholakia, said. |

| The list of candidates finalised for interview is available on the institute's website. |

| However, students will only know if they have been shortlisted for the second round when their percentile or score card is posted on January 6. |

| Dholakia said the six IIMs had separate procedures to shortlist students. Names of shortlisted students have been posted on respective websites. |

| IIM-A had selected students for interviews based on CAT scores and academic background, he added . More than 1.58 lakh students took the CAT examination in November 2005 to make it to one of the IIMs. |
