The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) will also hike fees for its flagship two-year post-graduate programme (PGP) course from this academic year onwards.

The board of governors of IIM-B is said to have taken a decision in this regard at their meeting held just before the convocation on March 28.

According to sources, the IIM-B management is likely to effect a 16 per cent increase in its course fee from the present Rs 1.50 lakh per year to Rs 1.75 lakh per year for its two-year MBA programme.

However, an official announcement in this connection is yet to be made by the board as the director of IIM-B Prakash Apte is currently out of station. Once he returns to Bangalore, the announcement will be made, sources told Business Standard, here on Monday.

"There will be uniformity in the fee structure. Our fees will be almost on par with that of IIM Ahmedabad," the sources said.
