Castorseed futures up on increased procurement
Castorseed futures prices gained Rs 37 to Rs 3,739.50 per quintal today on the back of increased buying by traders.
Market analysts said tracking a firm spot market sentiment, traders enlarged their holdings, which pushed up castorseed futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for March delivery improved by Rs 37, or 1%, to Rs 3,739.50 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 500 lots.
January contract prices also rose by Rs 37, or 0.97%, to Rs 3,835 per quintal, showing an open interest of 5,030 lots.
Prices for December delivery rose by Rs 30.50, or 0.75%, to Rs 4,085 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 13,180 lots.
