Hindalco GDR surges 3.57%

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was down 0.56 per cent to 1,340.78 in early trades on Thursday. Among ISDI GDR stocks, three advanced, while two remained unchanged and two lost ground.

The gainers were Hindalco up 3.57 per cent to $29, Reliance up 1.03 per cent to $29.35 and L&T up 0.71 per cent to $28.50. The losers were SBI down 1.75 per cent to $42 and Ranbaxy Labs down 0.88 per cent to $24.24.

Among the ISDI ADRs on Wednesday, three advanced and five lost ground. The gainers were Satyam Computers up 3.09 per cent to $26.70, MTNL up 1.25 per cent to $7.30 and Wipro up 0.72 per cent to $20.85.

The major losers were HDFC Bank down 2.70 per cent to $47.18, Infosys Technology down 2.26 per cent to $70.86 and Dr Reddy's down 1.26 per cent to $17.24.

Instanex Skindia DR Index was down 0.75 per cent to 1,340.91, and was trading at a P/E of 21.33.
