Markets firm; Wipro soars 6%; Bharti slips 3%

The NSE Nifty is up 67 points at 4,227.

ITC has soared 6% to Rs 190. Wipro and Reliance Infrastructure have surged 5.5% each to Rs 394 and Rs 908, respectively.

BHEL has rallied 5% to Rs 1,583. Cipla and Tata Steel have gained 4.5% each at Rs 236 and Rs 625, respectively.

Reliance Communications has advanced 4% to Rs 464. ACC has added 3.7% to Rs 563.

SBI has gained 3.4% at Rs 1,393. Mahindra & Mahindra has moved up over 3% to Rs 545.

Maruti has slumped 9.5% to Rs 587. Jaiprakash Associates has plunged 3.5% to Rs 161.

Bharti Airtel has tumbled 3% to Rs 774. Tata Motors and DLF have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 410 and Rs 453, respectively.

Out of 2,610 stocks traded, 1,776 have advanced, 755 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
