Readymade garments maker and retailer Provogue India debuted on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at Rs 249, gaining 66 per cent premium to the IPO price of Rs 150.
 
The stock in intra-day trades hit a high of Rs 299, before closing at Rs 245.55 with volumes accounting for more than 5.5 crore shares on day one.
 
A market analyst said, "We were expecting the stock to open at around Rs 250-260. The stock, however, failed to be sustained at higher levels on overall selling pressure, where the benchmark Sensex corrected nearly 140 points."
