Saria prices rose by Rs 200 per tonne in the local steel market today on fresh buying by stockists following a rise in demand. Traders said fresh buying by stockists on pick-up in demand from constructions units mainly led to the rise in saria prices.  

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 44,700, Rs 44,000 and Rs 43,300 per tonne, respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 43,800 per tonne.
