IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects surged after the company announced bagging orders worth Rs 311 crore. The stock went up 2.29 per cent to close at Rs 360.40 after hitting an intra-day high of Rs 369.80.
 
While the overall market witnessed profit booking in the final hours of the day, IVRCL held on to the gains.
 
The new orders include a contract for the construction of buildings amounting to Rs 160.47 crore, a water transmission works project worth Rs 100.65 crore and a road construction related project worth Rs 50 crore.
 
The counter has also been in the news for the company's impressive December quarter results. The company reported a 74 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 14.31 crore on a 33 per cent rise in sales to Rs 283.37 crore.
 
Form a low of Rs 297.75 on 24 January, 2005, the stock has gained 21.21 per cent to today's close of Rs 360.40.
