Upping the ante against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to file a complaint with the Election Commission against party leader Kumar Vishwas for his sexist remark against its chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi.
Earlier in the day, a police complaint had been filed against Vishwas for allegedly making sexist comments against Bedi at a recent rally held in the national capital.
"A police complaint has been lodged against K Vishwas' sexist comments at recent rally in presence of their leadership," tweeted Bedi.
The BJP's chief ministerial candidate also condemned the AAP's 'derogatory sexist remarks and illegal photo shopped images' as unethical, toxic and perverse.
"Absolutely derogatory sexist remarks, illegal photo shopped images communicating wrong messaging-it is this unethical, toxic, perverse and uncivil practices that we need to eliminate from our system," Bedi said in a series of tweets.
"What kind of security and dignity can women expect from AAP's leadership that itself has blatant sexist and perverse mindsets?" she added.
Bedi had earlier sent a legal notice to her rival Arvind Kejriwal for using her images in AAP's posters without her permission.
Elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place on February 7, with the counting of the votes set for February 10.
The last day of campaigning for the polls is February 5.
