Father of Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz 'distraught with grief' after ex-girlfriend's claim

The father of Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz has said that he is extremely distraught with grief as he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders following Lubitz's girlfriend's claim that the late pilot was planning a heinous act to be remembered by the world forever.

According to News.com.au, Lubitz's father has spoken to Bernard Bartolini, the mayor of Prads-Haute-Bleone, a town located close to the crash site.

Bartolini said that Lubitz's father was a completely broken man who is carrying all the responsibility of this drama on his back.

Germanwings flight 9525 crashed into the Alps, killing all 150 people on board.
