J.K. Rowling has recently confirmed that the character of Anthony Goldstein in the Harry Potter universe was a "Jew."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the revelation came after when a fan asked on Twitter if there were any Jewish characters in the series.
The British author then went on to outline that every faith and belief system was represented in Harry Potter.
Rowling has been very active with Potter-related news and tidbits in recent months, tweeting riddles and releasing new writing on the Pottermore website.
