Government Railway Police (GRP) in Ludhiana, Punjab, today confirmed the seizure of 1.2 kilograms of heroin and 100 grams of smack, and the arrest of one person who was caught with the drugs.
Additional Director General of Police of the Ludhiana GRP, Rohit Chaudhry, told media here that the suspect was taken into custody at the Ludhiana Railway Station, and has revealed that he was transporting the drugs from Madhya Pradesh.
He said the value of the seized drugs was an estimated six crore rupees in the international market, and added that the arrested individual is being interrogated for more details.
