Rory McIlroy reportedly ended the relationship with fiance Caroline Wozniacki in a brief three-minute phone call, which she thought was a joke.

According to a UK publication, the 25-year old golf player had declared his love to the tennis ace in the previous call, which was less than a day before the 'break up call', the New York Post reports.

Earlier, it was reported that the sports pair, who had been dating since 2011 and split only days before their wedding, had parted ways 'mutually'.
