Polio drops were reportedly administered to Pakistan cricketers, who are attending a training camp in Lahore, on Friday in order to support UNICEF's polio immunization programme and create awareness about the virus' devastating impact.
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi reportedly met the cricketers in the camp and said that all the cricketers were national assets, and they must be looked after, groomed and nurtured well.
According to the Dawn, Sethi said that he increased pays and pensions of cricketers and hailed the performance of camp commandant Mohammad Akram
Meanwhile, Zaheer Abbas, Moin Khan, Sarfraz Nawaz were also present on the occasion besides Akram.
Moreover, Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, while speaking on behalf of the players said that the ongoing training camp was the best one he had attended so far.
