Tony Awards: 'Natasha,' 'Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812' lead with 12 nominations

The nominations for the 71st annual Tony Awards were recently announced at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at the Lincoln Center.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, hit musical 'Natasha' and 'Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812' lead with 12 nominations, followed by 'Hello, Dolly!' with 10 nominations and 'Dear Evan Hansen' with nine.

While in the play categories, 'A Doll's House, Part 2' nabbed eight nominations, followed by 'Oslo' with seven.

James Earl Jones will receive the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre category.

Kevin Spacey will host the 71st annual event, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
