There was another upbeat account of Nelson Mandela's condition, as the anti-apartheid hero turned 95.

Mandela was however still in hospital after being admitted on 8 June with a recurring lung infection,

His daughter Zindzi said Mandela was making remarkable progress and was even able to watch television.

According to news24, the comments from Zindzi came as the anti-apartheid turned 95.

Zindzi said she visited Mandela on Tuesday and saw him watching TV with his headphones.

She said that the same energy and strength can be seen in his eyes and she hoped he will be released soon.
