Singapore's Changi Airport will be observing a minute of silence across its three terminals at 4 p.m. on Sunday as a mark of respect to late former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew.
The funeral of Lee, who died at the age of 91 on Monday after a long battle with pneumonia, is being held on Sunday.
Changi Airport Group said in a statement that public announcements will be made to both passengers and visitors airport-wide that include transit, public and staff areas, prior to and at the sounding of the siren, signifying the start of the observance, The Straits Times reported.
All 181 television screens across Changi Airport will also be screening the live coverage of Lee's state funeral.
There is also a special commemorative tribute at the departure level of Terminal 3 on Lee's legacy in Singapore's aviation sector.
Lee's state funeral procession starts at 12.30 p.m. on Sunday, and will pass through numerous significant landmarks before reaching the University Cultural Centre where the funeral service will be held.
The funeral of the city state's founder will be attended by Asian as well as world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former US president Bill Clinton, British Secretary of State William Hague, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
