“Ranbaxy runs in my blood” Malvinder Mohan Singh had said in 2008 while addressing a press conference immediately after announcing the “transfer of ownership” of the company to Japan’s Daiichi Sankyo. Within a year, Singh quit as Chairman, CEO and MD of the company founded by his family. Various Singh loyalists followed him. Recently, that included two key corporate communication executives of the drug company who had worked with the Singh family for years. They not only exited the company but joined Fortis, the group Singh runs with his brother Shivinder. Maybe this could be called blood transfusion?
