Window-pain

At the Global Investors’ Meet 2012 in Bangalore, S R Jindal, chairman and managing director of Jindal Aluminium, which has a business in Karnataka for several years, was strongly critical of the state government, especially its single-window clearing mechanism for investors. He described it as “a window with many doors and ventilators”, clearly indicating that he is having trouble untangling the red tape in the state.
