Armed men shoot at farmer, loot Rs 2.7 lakh

The incident took place last evening when Premchand Sharma was returning home from Jansath tehsil.

Sharma was stopped by the motorcycle-borne men who demanded that he part with his belongings. Upon refusing, Sharma was shot at by the trio who then fled with the cash.

Police, who are yet to make any arrests, said Sharma has been admitted to hospital where his condition is said to be serious.
