CRPF jawan injured in face-off with Naxals in Maharashtra

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was today injured in a face-off with Naxals in the district, police said.
A joint anti-Naxal operation was being conducted by the CRPF and the district police in Reknar forest area when the ultras opened fire and the forces retaliated, a release by Gadchiroli police said.
During the skirmish, one CRPF jawan sustained injuries. The Maoists later fled from the forest, it said.
The injured was admitted to the General Hospital here and his condition is said to be stable. Following the incident, anti-Naxal operations have been intensified in the area, the release said.
