Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said his government is making all efforts to bring the state, which is blessed with abundance of natural beauty, on the tourism map of the country.

Jharkhand has been blessed with abundance of natural beauty as well as mineral resources and the human resources of the state was skilled and hardworking, besides its unique art and culture, Das said while addressing a gathering on the inauguration of two-day Rankani Mahotsav at the copper township of Maubhandar, about 40 kms from here, under Ghatsila sub-division.

The state government has been working on four pillars of development -- agriculture, industry, service sector and tourism -- to give impetus to development projects, he said.

"We have enough potential for growth in cultural tourism, eco tourism, medical tourism and mineral tourism and the government has been making all possible effort to establish the state on the tourism map of the country," Das said.

Apart from Rankani Mahotsav, he said festivals such as Chau Mahotsav, Rajrappa Mahotsav and Itkhori Mahotsav organized by the government would prove helpful in achieving the desired result of development on fast pace.

Referring to the 'sweet revolution' launched by the government, Das said the honey being produced by the villagers would be supplied to Pathanjali to provide market to them.

Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Amit Kumar said that laying the foundation and inauguration of various development projects worth Rs 110 crore on the occasion would lead the district further on the path of development.

Among others, BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, BJP MLAs Maneka Sardar (Potka) and Laxman Tudu (Ghatsila) and JMM MLA Kundal Sarangi (Baharagora) were present on the occasion.
