The minister has issued instructions to all zonal railways that any request from an individual or organisation giving reference to his name for seeking any favour from the Railways should not be entertained, South Eastern Railway sources said.
All such requests would now be brought to the notice of the secretariat of the Minister, sources said.
"Chowdhury has also instructed that if necessary, FIRs may also be lodged to book such culprits who are misusing his name," they added.
