In his private complaint, Sudheer Chandra requested the court to direct police to register a case against Dhanalakshmi under sections 166 (public servant disobeying law, with intent to cause injury to any person) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the complainant, Dhanalakshmi cleared the release of 'Satya-2' (Telugu version), starring Sharwanand and Anaika, with around 40 cuts without any valid reason.
"Owing to her random demands and her negligence in maintaining office timings, the film had to be released in a very haphazard way with irritating cuts which disrupted the artistic flow of the film," the petitioner contended.
"These cuts were made to satisfy her ego and with vested self-interests," the complainant alleged and sought for court's direction to the police for registration of a case against her.
Dhanalakshmi could not be reached for comment.
