"We have articulated a multi-stakeholder model...The growth of internet is because of governments, academia and business...And therefore after much deliberation, we consciously took a decision that we shall support the multi-stakeholder model in a very big way," the minister said while addressing cyber conference 'CyFy 2016'.
The minister further said that governance of internet must reflect the "views of all", be inclusive and more open.
With over 3 billion users globally and more than a billion websites, there is growing concern towards creating some internationally-accepted mechanism for governing the internet.
