Palamau recorded 41.6 degrees Celsius, while Chaibasa registered 41.1 degrees Celsius, MeT officials said.
Jamshedpur (39.5 degree Celsius) received 6 mm rainfall during the day, providing relief to the steel city after weeks of high temperatures, they said.
Hazaribagh too experienced rainfall for the second consecutive day as maximum temperature was at recorded 36 degrees Celsius.
Dhanbad, which registered a high of 40 degree Celsius, received rains in the evening, the Met officials said.
Clouds hovered over Ranchi (38.8 degrees Celsius), Giridih (30 degrees Celsius) and Khunti (38 degrees Celsius), Gumla, Deoghar and over a few other districts, they said.
