"Considering the large-scale devastation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir due to the natural calamity, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the date for payment of second installment of advance tax for companies and first instalment of advance tax for others for FY 2014-15 from September 15 to December 15 for all tax payers in the state of Jammu and Kashmir," the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
Recently, the Finance Ministry had released in advance an installment worth Rs 856.29 crore for October to Jammu and Kashmir to help the state government deal with an unprecedented situation of floods and natural calamity.
