National Assembly on Pediatric Emergency Medicine

The 7th edition of National Assembly on Pediatric Emergency Medicine (NAPEM 2015), will be held here from February 20.
Over 500 pediatricians from across the country were participating in the three-day conference, whose theme is 'Timely care for timely cure,' Dr Nalla G Palanisamy, Chairman, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) and Patron, Napem, told reporters here today.
Dr Bipin Batra, Executive Director, National Board of Examinations, will be the chief guest and Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan the Guest of Honour at the inaugural on February 21, he said.
NAPEM is an International conference organised by Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Coimbatore Chapter in association with the Society for Trauma & Emergency Pediatrics (STEP).

Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) is a field of practice based on the knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of a wide variety of cute illnesses and injuries affecting infants, children and adolescents, he said.
