The plays will be presented by NSD's Repertory Company till June 22 in the evening hours at the school's Abhimanch Auditorium and Lawns and also at Kamani Auditorium.

The festival will kick-start with the staging of Roysten Abel's new play "Old Town". It is based on a carnival, in which a family struggles to keep alive its 2,000-year-old performing art tradition that has seen several changes over the years.

The other plays at the festival are Ramu Ramanathan's "Comrade Kumbhkaran" (directed by Mohit Takalkar), "Hamara Shahar Uss Baras" (directed by Kirti Jain), Federico Garcia Lorca's "Blood Wedding" (directed by Neelam Man Singh Chowdhry) and Vijaydaan Detha's "Aadamjaat" and Fanishwarnath Renu's "Panchlight".

"Chekhov ki Duniya" has adaptation, music, design and direction by Ranjit Kapoor while "Jaat hi Pucho Sadhu ki" is directed by Rajinder Nath.
