Rahul targets Modi over unemployment, poor wages

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, targeting him for unemployment among youth and poor wages to workers despite the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
Gandhi has been attacking the prime minister over various issues in "a question a day" series on Twitter in the run up to the Gujarat Assembly elections, demanding answers from him for "unfulfilled promises" made by his party.
"My 6th question to the prime minister. BJP's double whammy - on one side are the unemployed youth, on the other are lakhs of fixed salary and contract workers who are unahappy.

"Despite the 7th Pay Commission fixing Rs 18,000 a month, why the fixed salary and contract workers are getting Rs 5,500 and Rs 10,000?" he asked on Twitter.
He had earlier hit out at Modi on issues concerning women's safety, education and health.
Gandhi has used the tagline "22 salon ka hisaab, Gujarat mange jawaab (Gujarat demands answers for 22 years of BJP rule)" with his posers to the prime minister.

The Congress vice president, who is leading his party's poll campaign in Gujarat, earlier accused the prime minister of "commercialising" education at the cost of government schools and institutions, and hitting students hard with fee hikes.

Gandhi earlier asked Modi why public money was "squandered" for purchasing power at higher rates from private companies in Gujarat.
He also asked why the people of Gujarat should pay for the "financial mismanagement" and publicity by him.
