Burglars had gained entry into the shop at Murugankurichi by drilling a hole on its roof and the incident came to light this morning when the staff reported for duty.
Gold jewelleries of different varieties totally weighing 60 kgs and worth Rs 15 crore were found stolen, police said adding the burglars might have struck late last night.

The CCTV cameras in the shop were found broken. However four persons had been recorded by another secret CCTV camera.
A police team had been formed to nab the culprits and further investigation was on.
